Rob L. Staples
Rob L. Staples, ThD (1929–2015), had a distinguished career as a theologian in the Church of the Nazarene. After earning his MDiv from Nazarene Theological Seminary, Staples pastored two churches from 1954 to 1963. He received a doctorate in theology from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley in 1963, then taught at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma, from 1963 to 1976, and later at Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri, from 1976 to 1998. He also served as president of the Wesleyan Theological Society, leaving a lasting impact on the Wesleyan theological community.
