Product Summary

This unit attempts to answer questions about holiness by taking a look at the character of God, namely His holiness and love.

Lesson 1: He Is Holy--This lesson helps teenagers understand that our lives are changed when we come to know God's holiness as expressed in His love and justice. (1 Samuel 2:2; Revelation 16:4-7; Deuteronomy 32:4; 1 John 4:7-12)

Lesson 2: A New Law to Live By--This lesson reminds us that nothing we do on our own power can free us from the powerful control that sin has over our lives. Thankfully, Jesus Christ can free us to lead consistent Christian lives when we allow the Holy Spirit to control us. (Romans 7:15-8:4)

Lesson 3: A Gift We Don't Deserve--This lesson will help your students understand that holiness is a gift from god that He gives to us, even though we don't deserve it. Our responsibility is to respond to His gracious gift by staying close to Him and obeying His will. (1 Peter 1:14-16; Ephesians 1:4-5; Psalm 51:9-12; 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)

Lesson 4: What Holy Is and What It Ain't--This lesson helps clear up the misconception that holiness is a cure-all to every problem we face. (1 Corinthians 13:1-5; 2 Timothy 3:1-4; Hebrews 12:14; 1 John 4:7-21)

Lesson 5: A Holy New Wardrobe--This lesson teaches that there are ways to develop habits that will reinforce the work of God in our lives. (Colossians 3:5-17; 1 Timothy 4:7-16)
