Product Summary

This unit is designed to help students understand the importance and significance of the message and ministry of Christ from the passion week-the final week of the Christ's earthly ministry. Through these Gospel events your students will learn the importance of understanding what kind of king Jesus was, the meaning behind the Passover meal Last Supper, the centrality of His death to their faith, and the joy of the Resurrection.

Lesson 33: The Triumphal Entry and Cleansing of the Temple--While the common people recognized Jesus as the Messiah and worshipped Him, the religious leaders failed to recognize Jesus as the Messiah and plotted instead to kill Him. (Luke 19:28-48)

Lesson 34: The Last Supper--When Jesus breaks the bread and shares the cup, He initiates a new covenant between God and humanity. It is through His broken body and shed blood that we receive the gift of grace God offers. (Matthew 26:17-30)

Lesson 35: The Crucifixion--When Jesus willingly suffered humiliation and died on the cross, He bridged forever the gulf of sin that separates humanity from God. (Luke 22:66-23:43)

Lesson 36: The Resurrection--Even death could not hold God s only Son. He was raised from the dead on the third day. (John 20:1-9)
